Feral Bilby grew out of an idle chat between a crew of firefighters. Firies spend a lot of time in the bush and appreciate the native animals. Feral cats have decimated the population of bilbies, so these guys began to think about what sort of native animal could take back the land from these invaders.

Firies are good at innovating so they began to describe what this animal would look like - just for fun. The idea of a once cute little animal getting its own back seemed very Australian. The cutest little animal that came up in the conversation was the bilby. So they turned it feral!

The philosophy behind Feral Bilby is a super-hero type Bilby that can hold it's own and fight feral cats and other predators that threaten their dwindling population. The Feral Bilby range of clothing and other items is a fun way of supporting the Save the Bilby Fund, increasing awareness of threatened species in general, while wearing clothing designs and other using products in the range that are uniquely Australian.

This website is also great for researching the bilby - click the link "Learn About Bilbies" to find out more about this endangered creature. Thanks for visiting and we hope you'll help us to help the Bilbies!
